Monochrome
Most of the great photographers of the past two centuries shot entirely in monochrome. For many there was no other medium available but, for others, black and white or monochrome offered fuller scope to the photographing of form and texture, light and shadow. The monochrome images in this gallery are mainly competition entries, but they also reflect my growing interest in investigating this medium.
